she is a wonderful model and a great artist as well. with this painting, i owe it all to her great pose and her soulful expression.

I know sarachmet, it is my good friend. But why did you make her so ugly? She is beautiful and here she looks like an old and ugly woman. I am sorry for my opinion but it is like profanation. I know it is art (and I am a beginner ) but in my honest words it is a harm. But I like the technique. But I would like to see her as beautiful as she is, not that witch, sorry!

you are right, she is beautiful. i did not intend to make her look as old as she does in the painting.... not every painting comes out as it was planned. but pls understand, it is not really a painting of her, she was the model i used for it. although i did not want her to look old, i also did not want to make her look beautiful in this piece either.... it would not have fit the story. i had shown her the painting in progress, and she was fine with the fact that i aged her.... in some of the other pieces i used her for, i think i captured her beauty, but in this one, i just overworked it... although i was happy with the piece when i finished. thanks for your comments. you are a good friend to her, and the piece was done with great respect to her... but again, just remember, it is not suppose to be her, she was just the model. steve

What a beautiful piece! I love the way you contrast warmer hues with deep greens and blues in the facial shadows. I adore this! :D
:iconstevecavallo:
thank you so much.... i just finished it the night before last, so i am not sure how i feel about it yet, but i think i am happy with it.
thanks for your kind words
